RHIANNON LONGSTAFF

DIRECTOR

ATOD, AAC, GWT, CertIVDTM, DipDTM

After wearing out her own copy of Flash Dance at age 3, Miss Rhiannon was taken to her first dance class and from there, there was no looking back. Rhiannon was fortunate to train under a very well known dancer and instructor in WA, Kerry Gough. Rhiannon attended Kerry Gough Gotta Dance Studio from 4 years of age until 12 years of age studying under the BAL and CSTD syllabi. Rhiannon then moved to Danielle Jackson’s Dance Studio due to her parents relocating.

It was under the guidance of Danielle Jackson that Rhiannons’ love of performing and choreographing for competitions grew, as she was fortunate to be apart of many award winning routines. Rhiannon was also fortunate to be selected to teach within the Studio.

In 2001 Rhiannon returned to Kerry Gough Gotta Dance Studio, where she continued to study dance, teach dance and participate in competitions.  In 2003 Rhiannon took on the role of the Dance Coordinator at the Rockingham PCYC, a role she held for four years. It was at this time Rhiannon’s dream of opening her own Dance Academy was realised.

Rhiannon opened the Academy in 2007 with the proviso of providing a fun, friendly and disciplined environment to teach children and adults to dance and to pass on her passion for dance.

Rhiannon is qualified under the Australian Teachers of Dancer (ATOD) syllabi, the Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) syllabi, the Acrobatic Arts program (AAC) and has completed her Certificate IV and Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management.
